This last week we saw several PCs come in with display issues caused by a new Windows Update.
The Windows update tries to install a new version of graphics driver for HD graphics 3000 & 4000 Series chips. The problem is that the update is not compatible with those chips.
The update breaks the driver and instead, installs a basic driver that distorts your screen resolution. To fix the issue we were able to roll back to a working driver with some of the PCs but some required us to add a whole new graphics card that did not utilize the HD 3000 or 4000 chipsets.
Ultimately, Windows has put out a patch now to resolve the issue and most computers that had the problem are now fixed. If you are still having this display issue feel free to bring your computer by so we can get it resolved.
