THE COMMON DEVICE CHART
Most commonly used devices in a PC use an IRQ, Memory address and or a DMA Direct Memory Access channel. When installing a new device you need to read the documentation to insure you are properly configuring you device to work with your PC.
Note: Any other device that is using the same IRQ for example will conflict and lock up your computer. Be careful.
