The computer industry uses the prefixes of Greek terminology and abbreviations as units of measurement to understand the different sizes of data.

| Gigabyte | GB | 1,024 Megabytes 21000 Bytes |
| Terabyte | TB | 1,024 Gigabytes 210000 Bytes |
