Firethorn's computers and network were aging and starting to become a burden on the efficiency of the staff. Quick Connect consulted with the club and recommended upgrading their network, server and several PC's. In addition, a website would be needed with a members section and an intranet for the staff.
To stabilize their local network and internet connectivity, Quick Connect installed new networking equipment including a firewall and the ability for remote monitoring. Remote monitoring allows our technicians to keep an eye on the internet and backup system at all times. The new backup system allows for greater peace of mind and disaster recovery.
Several new QCPC's were installed. Our PC's have an exceptional warranty. If any of our QCPC's have warranty issues, the PC will be picked up and serviced as soon as possible, generally the very same day. This allows their staff to take their mind off of their PC problems and put it instead on their business.
The website was built from the ground up to be both visually appealing and functional. The staff can easily update pages from their offices and members of the club can register for upcoming events. Visit their new website at firethorngolfclub.com.
Through projects like these, the importance of communication with the client is realized. When the work includes several different sub-projects it is even more important to keep the client informed as to the status of the project. We do this by sending reports by mail and email, touching base by phone and when needed and having progress meetings onsite or in our offices.
