New Website Launched!

For the last few months we have been secretly working on an update for our own website. Our web team was dedicated to its launch, and we are excited about the potential that it brings to Quick Connect. Construction of our new expansion in Lincoln has begun! This will give us approximately double the current bench space for computer repair. Did you know that if you get your old computer repaired by us that you have 30 days to use that repair cost as a credit towards a new pc and up to 90 days to get a 2/3rds credit towards a new pc?! Yep... we will credit 100% of your repair, parts and labor, towards a new computer within 30 days and 2/3rds within 90 days if you decide you'd rather replace versus repair your pc. Takes all the risk out of the "repair versus replace" dilemma....

So winter is over half way over... hopefully!

Did you know over 50% of our total sales is from custom built computers? Yes it is! For about the same price as the BOX Stores, we will transfer data from old pc to new, bring the pc to your home or office to install, and offer a local, onsite warranty for problems... and this is INCLUDED in the sale price! You can even get a new pc with Windows XP if you so desire... the box stores can't do that.

It is official, our Lincoln service center is expanding. Our adjacent neighbor is moving out in Nov so we will be scooping up that space, knocking out the shared wall and building out our store in order to give our service center more room to breathe. We've been steadily growing in this space and with this opportunity, we are going to take advantage and double our effective bench space while adding a larger inventory room. What does that mean to you, faster turn around!! I will post pictures when construction begins in around 3-5 weeks. Exciting!! UPDATE... it look a little longer before our neighbor left, but they are gone now and we are currently deciding on the floor plan for construction to begin early Jan.

I'm proud to welcome a new customer this week: Savannah Pines Retirement Center. They called Friday night at 4:50pm. They needed a repairman to check out why their projector was not connecting to their computer. Since so close to closing time, I decided to go out within the hour ASAP personally. ... after rewiring the component connectors and reconfiguring, the problem was fixed! They were impressed with our service and Quick Connect saved movie night for hundreds of residents!!!

I saw one of our customers in the news today! The site we developed last year, The Lincoln City Libraries website, unveiled their new tutoring system last week. It's called Homework HelpNow! I just got a call from our Better Business Bureau representative to commend us for a job well done. We just got upgraded to an "A+" rating! That rating is very difficult to achieve. I checked the bbb website and found the same: "Based on BBB files, Quick Connect Computer Services has a BBB Rating of A+ on a scale from A+ to F." We offer computer repair in Lincoln NE and Omaha NE and are proud to have such a spotless record with the thousands of customers we deal with month to month.

We have seen more than usual virus and spyware infections this month. Many infections have resulted from customers thinking they were installing antivirus protection and instead, getting a severe infection. We offer flat rate pricing for virus removal along with our 60 day follow up policy if you happen to get reinfected. Our flat rates are often cheaper than companies that quote per hour to remove infections ...

Summer for us usually means a little bit of a break in how busy we normally are, but this summer so far has been very busy. We have sold a handful of websites this month so great work webteam! I know those customers are excited to get started! In our IT dept, many new corporate customers continue to choose QC for their computer support needs. We do not charge per month for our service so we have been able to save most of them thousands of dollars a year on their contracts.

Time Warner just finished a new Heartland Testimonial commercial and Quick Connect was invited to be the feature advertiser for a promotional spot. QC was one of the first companies to advertise on this channel. Check it out here.

We just finished Amberly Dental, a new dentist office in Waverly, NE. Pictures of this specialized installation can be found on our news page and we just listed this as one of our "Featured Projects" lower left of this page.

I was invited as a guest today to participate in an economic roundtable discussion hosted by our Congressman Jeff Fortenberry. It was an honor to share views on Lincoln's economy related to small business and the economy as a whole along with other business leaders in a roundtable discussion. I also got to shake hands with Lincoln's Mayor Chris Beutler.

Existing customer's referring their friends are the lifeblood of our business. At QC, we believe that if we give the extra effort daily and give our all for each customer, our work will speak for itself.
