Quick Connect Computer Services to unveil 'QCTV' on Heartland ChannelFrom 'Neighborhood Extra, May 2004':
A trendsetter in the field of computer repair will soon unveil a new television show. "QCTV" (Quick Connect TV), a professionally-produced, 30-minute program, is scheduled to debut in June on the Heartland Channel (Cable Channel 2).
"QCTV" will include local testimonials of how Quick Connect customers incorporate computers into their business. "QCTV" will feature professional camerawork and editing and is the brainchild of Quick Connect founder and owner Kristan Yoder, who first devoted full time to his business in 1996.
TV air times have yet to be determined. They will be confirmed on the Quick Connect web site, located at quickconnect.com.
"This is a long-kept dream come true," said Yoder. "The program will contain a lot of useful 'how-to' advice about computer operations." Yoder hopes to offset part of the TV program's production costs through the eventual development and sales of DVD's.
"QCTV" is the latest example of the growth of a locally-owned business that reported a 52% increase in gross sales last year, and has hired two new, full-time service technicians in the last six months. The business is based in the heart of Lincoln at 5000 Central Park Drive, Suite 204, where the development of an executive office has been added to accommodate the rise in computers carried in by customers.
Quick Connect offers free delivery and setup onsite, welcomes carry-in service, establishes and maintains websites, and performs tutoring and other specialized services.
Yoder said an innovative fee schedule established just a month ago has been warmly received by customers and is the "wave of the future" in pricing systems. "We charge by the level, not by the hour," said Yoder. "We have four levels of service, each containing a certain number of extras."
"Customers loved being charged by the job, instead of by the hour," said Yoder, "especially when they discover the extras that come with each level, such as a warranty, pickup, delivery, and the QC Assure performance guarantee."
The new pricing schedule is just another example of Quick Connect's ongoing effort to be on the cutting edge as it implements new policies and make changes. The next time your computer needs the professional expertise of a qualified service technician call the pros at Quick Connect Computer Services (434-2828). They're open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and they offer a 24-hour answering services with a technician on-call for after-hour emergencies.
And don't forget "QCTV" coming soon to the Heartland Channel next month.
